SI NOTTINGHAM<\/h4>\n

SI Nottingham Club meetings are held at 19.30 on the 1st and 3rd Monday of the month.\u00a0 Normally the 1st Monday is held\u00a0 on Zoom and the 3rd Monday is face to face at the Holiday Inn, Castle Marina.\u00a0 Our\u00a0 only meeting in March is on 2nd March 2026 (by zoom) and please note there is no face to face meeting this month at the Holiday Inn, Castle Marina<\/strong>. Please contact us for more information if you would like to attend and find out all about us<\/strong><\/p>\n

Our club meetings are very varied.\u00a0 Sometimes we will have a speaker to inform and inspire us, whilst other meetings focus on activities we are involved in, or activities such as putting together welcome packs for the refuges.
\nWhatever the focus of the meeting, there is always time for members to catch up with each other, find out what everyone’s been up to, and enjoy a coffee. Visitors and new members are always welcome, and everyone is happy to explain what’s going on.

Each month we will be turning the spotlight on two amazing women, one from our club and one from the wider world. Our current pairing of ‘Outstanding Women’ are Joy Cummings-Jones, of Soul of Africa Youth Leadership Programme and our own Soroptimist club member, Lina Morgan. United Nations 16 Days of Action to Raise Awareness of Gender Based Violence<\/strong><\/p>\n

Our 2025 event at Nottingham City Library is fast approaching. Please come along and see our display.<\/p>\n

in the meantime, here is what happened in 2023. Members gathered in the centre of Nottingham to hand out orange ribbons to members of the public together with postcards showing contact details of organisations which support victims of domestic violence. Over 400 ribbons were handed out , resulting in hundreds of conversations which spread the message that this was the UN’s Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women. Over the following 16 days, more activities were planned<\/p>\n
