The very recently built Seema\u2019s Children\u2019s Home at Bori in india<\/strong><\/p>\n


\n<\/strong>Blairgowrie & District\u2019s support of the first pop-up charity shop in Reform street in 2018 generated the marvellous sum of \u00a32,280, all of which will make its way to India in February, making a big difference for many. \u00a0The organisers want to say a huge THANK YOU<\/strong> to everyone, including Girl Guides, the Trefoil Guild, members of Soroptimist International Perth, Danscot Perth and the general public who helped whether by donating stock, transporting stock, working in the shop, donating money, buying goods and especially to the staff and members of the One Stop Women\u2019s Learning Service (OWLS) who had the hard job of packing away and transporting the remaining stock.<\/p>\n

The charities that will benefit are Maher (Abused Women’s charity), Ishwari (mentally and physically handicapped women’s centre, Doorstep School (school for street children), children at Kayakalpa (clinic in the red light area), Sangam Guide World Centre where the organisers will be staying, two Soroptimist of Pune projects – Constructions Workers Support project (for Women), and Constructions Workers Children’s creche – and lastly, the children in Seema’s Children’s Home that has been built with the aid of the pop up charity shop organisers, at Bori.<\/p>\n
