We are a volunteer service organisation for women in business, management and the professions. We are part of Soroptimist International, the world&#8217;s largest classified service organisation for executive and professional women, a Global voice for women. It uses Awareness, Advocacy and Action to bring about change in the lives of women and girls worldwide. The heart of the Soroptimist&#8217;s mission is &#8220;to make a difference\u201d through volunteer services to the community. In India we have fifteen clubs working in the fields of Health, Education, Environment and International Goodwill and Understanding, all working for the welfare of women and children.<\/p>\n<p>In our organisation, our main thrust for project work has been in the area of Girls Education and Women\u2019s Health. Health and Nutrition awareness in backward areas and Girl Child Safety training are also some of our current activities.<\/p>\n<p>Our members are women drawn from different professions like IT, Medicine, Engineering, Education, Industry, Management, Social Work, Scientific Research.<\/p>\n<p>Our main thrust for project work has been in the area of Girls Education and Women\u2019s Health in addition to taking up work in the SIGBI Quadrennium Project areas like AIDS awareness and Cancer screening. We have also taken up our national projects like \u2018Let Me Bloom\u2019 \u2018Fistful of Grain\u2019 and \u2018Green Canopy\u2019 in the fields of Nutrition and Environment Do?<\/h4>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Our members are women drawn from different professions like IT, Bloom&#8217; which is an Education Sponsorship for girls who are physically \/ economically challenged, with no support and role model for guidance.<\/li>\n<li>Along with educational programs, we are also running Physical and Mental well being programs among members of socially backward
