style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">This was an initiative to support the building of a dormitory in a school in Masaka Uganda.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">SI Rhyl and District worked to raise funds and support this project.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">We encouraged the school girls and local residents to set up a bee apiary to not only save the environment but to generate income from the honey and bi-products, which will contribute to the school building.\u00a0 The school now have their own 10 hive apiary.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">This will also provide them with the skills to earn an income of their own when they leave school.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">We keep in touch with the school and our linked club members of <\/span><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Soroptimist International in Masaka for news on how they are proceeding.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">We have also organised events to raise money to contribute to the school Dormitory.\u00a0 One of our members has been busy knitting to help raise further funds.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">A total of \u00a310,506 over 7 years has been raised by SI Rhyl &amp; District towards the completion of this venture.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\"> UPDATE : JULY 2023 &#8211;\u00a0 We are pleased to announce that the dormitory has now been finished and the girls are in residence. <a
