2024<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\"><strong>The Salvation Army, Rhyl<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">A number of events including a garden party, cheese &amp; wine evening and a concert collectively raised a total of \u00a34,000.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">The Concert\u00a0 on 1st December at St. Margaret&#8217;s Church, Bodelwyddan \u00a0resounded with music and song from both the\u00a0Cor Meibion <strong>Trelawnyd<\/strong> Male Voice Choir and The Salvation Army Rhyl.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\"><strong>Papyrus UK<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Gave a talk on the work of the organisation and a donation of \u00a3500 was presented to them.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<figure id=\"attachment_5152\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-5152\" style=\"width: 347px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/rhyl-and-district\/files\/2023\/05\/Concert-1-12-2023.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-5152 \" src=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/rhyl-and-district\/files\/2023\/05\/Concert-1-12-2023.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"347\" height=\"195\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/rhyl-and-district\/files\/2023\/05\/Concert-1-12-2023.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/sigbi.org\/rhyl-and-district\/files\/2023\/05\/Concert-1-12-2023-300x169.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 347px) 100vw, 347px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-5152\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\"><strong>Presentation of Cheque to The Salvation Army, Rhyl<\/strong><\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\"><strong>President Barbara Roberts: 2022 &#8211; 2023<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\"><strong>North Wales Superkids<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">A Bring &amp; Buy Sale and an Afternoon Tea was organised which raised \u00a31,200 to enable the charity to purchase Christmas presents for underprivileged children.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">A Cheese &amp; Wine evening was also held in aid of <strong>Masaka Girls School Dormitory Project, Uganda<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Donations have also been made to:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">North Wales Women&#8217;s Centre<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Turkey and Syrian Earthquake Appeal<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Rhyl Schools Feminine Hygiene Project<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\"><strong>President Sylvia Bolshaw: 2021 &#8211; 2022<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">COVID 19 restrictions were beginning to be lifted and a number of fundraising events took place on behalf of the following charities<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Fish &#8216;n&#8217; Chip Supper &#8211; <strong>Masaka Girls Dormitory School, Uganda<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Christmas Tree Festival &#8211; <strong>St Kentigerns Hospice,St.Asaph<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Coffee Morning &#8211; <strong>St Kentigerns Hospice, St. Asaph<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Open Garden\u00a0 &#8211;\u00a0 <strong>Daffodil Appeal Marie Curie<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Social at Rhuddlan Community Centre &#8211; 2020 &#8211; 2021\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Events during this period were curtailed due to COVID 19, but in between lockdowns members managed to raise funds to support the following charities<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">An afternoon Tea and entertainment was organised on behalf of <strong>CLEFT International Projects<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">A Garden Party\u00a0 was held in support of <strong>Ty Gobaith \/ Hope House Children&#8217;s Hospice<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">During Covid lockdowns regular donations of &#8220;Goodie Bags&#8221;
