The Soroptimist Scotland North Region includes clubs in Aberdeen<\/a>,\u00a0Crieff<\/a>, Easter Ross<\/a>, Inverness & Nairn<\/a> and Perth.<\/a> We have brainstorming meetings 4 times a year.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Who are the Soroptimists?<\/h2>\n

Soroptimists are a global women’s movement changing women and girls’ lives through a network of over 72,000 club members in 121 countries and territories worldwide.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

There are five Federations; Soroptimist International of the Americas<\/a>, Soroptimist International of Great Britain & Ireland (SIGBI)<\/a>, Soroptimist Europe<\/a>, \u00a0Soroptimist International of South West Pacific<\/a>, and Soroptimist International African Federation<\/a>.<\/p>\n

A voice for women at the UN<\/h2>\n

Soroptimist International (SI) and SIGBI both have consultative status at the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC<\/a>) at the United Nations (UN)<\/a>, which gives us a voice, and allows us to attend the Commission on the Status of Women<\/a> in New York each year. This status would not be possible without the fantastic work being done by our Members.<\/p>\n
