SI Sevenoaks had a very happy and successful meeting on Tuesday 8th April,
\nwhich started with a nice talk from SI SEE Region President Sue Edgar.\u00a0 Sue
\ncame to our President’s lunch last month and after this visit we really feel
\nthat we know her and want to keep in touch.\u00a0 The evening continued with our
\nAGM confirming the team going forward under President Margaret Crabtree’s
\ninspiring leadership with Kathy Jordan joining as co Programme Officer.\u00a0 This was followed
\nby the enrolment of four new members!\u00a0 We are so thrilled to welcome them to
\nour club.\u00a0 Pictured are, from left: mentor Sandie Higgs with Lyn Snowden,
\nJulie Walder, mentor Tracey Kemp, President Margaret Crabtree, Carole
\nMorrisson, Kerry Locke and mentor Penny Robbins.\u00a0 (Tracey is mentoring both
\nJulie and Carole)\u00a0 This was the first time we introduced mentors for our
\nnew members and we are sure it will work well<\/p>\n
Finally, we had a wonderful celebration cake and fizz for our special
\nbirthday members – twins Pat Downing and Shirley Brigham are now 90 and
\nMargaret Nicholson has reached 80.\u00a0 Between them over 90 years of service to
\nSI Sevenoaks!\u00a0 Pictured in our second photo are Pat, Margaret and Shirley.
\nThis was a really wonderful evening and all club members, old and new are
\nlooking forward to a busy and energetic year.\u00a0 A big thank you to Sue for
\nsharing the evening with us all.\u00a0 \u00a0Onwards and upwards!<\/p>\n
