Mothers\u00a0and\u00a0children\u00a0from\u00a0the\u00a0local\u00a0women’s\u00a0refuge,\u00a0accompanied\u00a0by\u00a0a\u00a0care\u00a0worker\u00a0were\u00a0guests
\nof\u00a0the\u00a0club\u00a0on\u00a0an\u00a0outing\u00a0to\u00a0Manor\u00a0Farm\u00a0Park. There\u00a0is\u00a0a\u00a0working\u00a0farm\u00a0within\u00a0the\u00a0park,\u00a0a\u00a0Victorian house\u00a0and\u00a0school\u00a0room,\u00a0a\u00a0play\u00a0area,\u00a0a\u00a0shop\u00a0and\u00a0a\u00a0cafe\u00a0as\u00a0well\u00a0as\u00a0a\u00a0network\u00a0of\u00a0fields\u00a0and\u00a0paths.
\nThe\u00a0children\u00a0were\u00a0introduced\u00a0to\u00a0some\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0animals\u00a0on\u00a0the\u00a0farm\u00a0–\u00a0cows,\u00a0sheep,\u00a0pigs,\u00a0chickens,ducks,
\ngoats,\u00a0rabbits,\u00a0donkeys,\u00a0ponies\u00a0and\u00a0turkeys\u00a0by\u00a0one\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0farmers. She\u00a0encouraged\u00a0the\u00a0children
\nto\u00a0stroke\u00a0the\u00a0bigger\u00a0animals\u00a0and\u00a0to\u00a0handle\u00a0the\u00a0baby\u00a0rabbits,\u00a0fluffy\u00a0chicks\u00a0and\u00a0ducklings.\u00a0It
\nwas\u00a0lovely\u00a0to\u00a0see\u00a0the\u00a0children\u00a0gaining\u00a0confidence\u00a0during\u00a0the\u00a0course\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0day.\u00a0One\u00a0little\u00a0girl
\nwas\u00a0thrilled\u00a0by\u00a0the\u00a0teddy\u00a0bear\u00a0hunt\u00a0and\u00a0also\u00a0made\u00a0a\u00a0beautiful\u00a0butterfly\u00a0in\u00a0the\u00a0Victorian\u00a0schoolroom.
\nThe\u00a0club\u00a0provided\u00a0a\u00a0picnic\u00a0lunch\u00a0which\u00a0everyone\u00a0enjoyed\u00a0and\u00a0the\u00a0weather\u00a0stayed\u00a0fine\u00a0during\u00a0the
\ncrucial\u00a0period!.\u00a0It\u00a0was\u00a0a\u00a0great\u00a0opportunity\u00a0for\u00a0club\u00a0members\u00a0to\u00a0meet\u00a0the\u00a0mothers\u00a0and\u00a0children
\nin\u00a0a\u00a0relaxed\u00a0setting.\u00a0It\u00a0also\u00a0brought\u00a0home\u00a0to\u00a0us\u00a0how\u00a0important\u00a0and\u00a0how\u00a0necessary\u00a0women’s\u00a0refuges
