{"id":5502,"date":"2024-12-06T12:23:52","date_gmt":"2024-12-06T12:23:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/south-east-england\/?p=5502"},"modified":"2024-12-06T12:31:37","modified_gmt":"2024-12-06T12:31:37","slug":"sad-announcement-about-sisee-editor-patricia-painting","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/south-east-england\/2024\/12\/06\/sad-announcement-about-sisee-editor-patricia-painting\/","title":{"rendered":"Sad Announcement about SISEE Editor Patricia Painting"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of our Regional Editor\u00a0 and Associate Member, Patricia Painting on Friday 29<sup>th<\/sup> November.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p class=\"xmsonormal\">Patricia was SI Croydon&#8217;s Club Secretary, and President from 2008 to 2010. After leaving the Club and becoming an associate member she continued to support many social events, regularly attended the Regional meetings, and enthusiastically took on the task of producing and editing our monthly SEE Regional Newsletter.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-5506 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/south-east-england\/files\/2024\/12\/Patricia-Painting.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"252\" height=\"353\" \/><\/p>\n<p>At the time of her passing she was busy working on producing the November edition of the Newsletter which would have been the 62nd edition since she had taken on the role of Regional Editor in 2018. We were particularly proud of the SEE News.\u00a0 Past Federation President\u00a0 Maureen Maguire commented about a recent edition, &#8216; What a variety of service, fun and friendship that is going on in this Region. I have just read their Regional Newsletter and thoroughly enjoyed it.
