\"Regional<\/a>Programme Action Officers from 12 of South Lancashire\u2019s Soroptimist clubs attended a \u2018get together\u2019 at SI Southport\u2019s clubroom.<\/p>\n

Publicity – Margaret Carr (Regional Communications Officer) focused on our Unique Selling Point (USP) which is, of course, Programme Action. The way people see clubs in action determines whether women will want to join \u2013 so high quality \u2018action\u2019 photographs are vital when publicising club events.<\/p>\n

Membership – Pat Williams (Regional Membership Officer) maintained that nothing promotes Soroptimism better than a face-to-face communication. Members should think of the \u2018Elevator Pitch\u2019: 30 seconds to make an impact on who we are and what we do.<\/p>\n

Website – Jenny Stanistreet (Regional Web Administrator) challenged Programme Action Officers to monitor their club websites and ensure they show up to date news on projects and achievements.<\/p>\n

In a wide-ranging presentation Margaret Molyneux (Regional Programme Action Officer) looked at the possibility of joint projects; at the procedure for inputting Programme Focus Report Forms; and at the future of Federation\u2019s Programme Resolutions.<\/p>\n

Margaret said, \u201cThe variety of topics on the agenda ensured a\u00a0stimulating day, with extensive discussions. Thanks to Regional President Victoria Smerdon and several of her executive team who also took part and added to the lively debates.<\/p>\n

“From comments received it\u2019s plain that delegates gained much from sharing experiences with colleagues in other clubs, and from having the chance to consider forward planning of Programme Action \u2013 our USP.<\/p>\n
