\"region<\/a>\u2018Ladies who lunch?\u2019 \u2013 no problem! Denise Baldwin (Regional President)\u00a0was confident\u00a0there would be an excellent response from South Lancashire\u2019s Soroptimists to attend her fundraising event.<\/span>\u00a0\"region<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

Held at the Red Hall Hotel in\u00a0Ramsbottom, the\u00a0event offered the opportunity for guests to browse and buy at the retail stalls, relax over a leisurely meal, and enjoy non-stop conversation.<\/span><\/p>\n

The stalls were kept very busy – the temptation of crafts, handbags, scarves, cosmetics and jewellery proving too good to resist.<\/span><\/p>\n

Stallholders generously donated prizes for the raffle; and ticket sellers were kept very busy as everyone ‘dug deep’ into their purses.\"region<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

After the meal,\u00a0Velvet of Ramsbottom presented a fashion show – a selection of the store’s ‘absolutely fabulous ladies’ wear’. Models were all local volunteers –\u00a0a touch that\u00a0went down very well with\u00a0the audience. On display on the catwalk was a wide variety of daywear and evening styles. Therefore the after-show opportunity to look at the fashions more closely, try on, and buy, proved popular.<\/span><\/p>\n

At the end of the day, everyone went home with a goody-bag of mini cosmetics, courtesy of Clarins.\"region<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI am so pleased that our event was a success. Dozens of Soroptimists – many with friends –\u00a0came from all over the Region. Thank you to them all, to Velvet<\/a> for such a great show, and to everyone who helped with arrangements.\u201d said President Denise.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cProceeds from the day amounted to over \u00a3800 \u2013 a\u00a0donation from South Lancashire\u2019s Soroptimists to the\u00a0life-saving\u00a0North West Air Ambulance<\/a>\u00a0charity.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
