Welcome to SI South Shields and District<\/h2>\n

Soroptimist International of South Shields & District was chartered in 1947.<\/p>\n

The club is small but vibrant, with relaxed and interesting meetings.<\/p>\n

We have\u00a016 members with diverse backgrounds in catering, nursing, finance, teaching, voluntary sector.<\/p>\n

Because of the small numbers the club has a strong friendship bond and members are never without support no matter what their needs may be.<\/p>\n

We enjoy a lot of social events together, sometimes\u00a0 in support of a charity, sometimes just for fun.<\/p>\n

We meet the 2nd<\/sup> & 4th<\/sup> Tuesday of every month at South Shields Golf Club.<\/p>\n

The first Tuesday of the month we enjoy an informal supper, followed by a \u00a0business meeting. The second meeting of the month we have a speaker.<\/p>\n

Talks are very varied, and can be linked to our programme action projects or\u00a0anything that may interest our members.<\/p>\n

Last year\u00a0speakers included\u00a0Mother Rebecca Tobin, Norman Kirtlan Forensic Artist,\u00a0 Bernard Hope with the Christmas Story, It really is a wonderful life.\u00a0 We also had a speaker from STMBC talking about the regeneration of South Shields\u00a0town centre.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]<\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
