Our region<\/em><\/strong> of Southern England has 9 clubs and stretches from\u00a0Poole Purbeck and District<\/a> club in the South West to\u00a0Epsom and District<\/a> in the North East.\u00a0 In between we have Bournemouth<\/a>, Salisbury<\/a>, Winchester and District<\/a>,\u00a0Surrey Hills<\/a> (based around Godalming), Woking and District<\/a>,\u00a0Weybridge\u00a0and District<\/a> and\u00a0Solent East<\/a> (covering Gosport and Fareham, but also Southampton, Portsmouth and Chichester areas).\u00a0 Links are to their respective club pages on this website.<\/span><\/p>\n

There were previously more clubs in our area, and we are seeking to \u2018fill the gaps\u2019 again in the coming years.\u00a0 You\u2019ll find that each club has its own character, and meets on different days, so if you can\u2019t make it to the nearest one then another might meet on a more convenient night.\u00a0 We don\u2019t yet have a virtual club, but that is also a possibility for the future, where club members meet online and do their programme action in person in the local area.<\/span><\/p>\n

Our region\u2019s theme for the coming year is \u201cCommunication for Action\u201d.\u00a0 We have a number of key vacancies in the Regional Management Team, which means that team members are spread rather thin and covering as much of the regional administration as they can.\u00a0 Communication is key.<\/span><\/p>\n

Our Federation<\/em><\/strong>, of Soroptimist International of Great Britain and Ireland (SIGBI \u2013 \u2018sig-bee\u2019), is structured and run as described in the mother website, but if you would like a step-by-step guide through these pages then please follow this link to a summary (TBA)<\/u>.\u00a0 A lot of information is hosted on \u201cThe Hub\u201d, but you\u2019ll need to register with a membership number and password for that.<\/span><\/p>\n
