{"id":6363,"date":"2026-05-04T19:22:13","date_gmt":"2026-05-04T19:22:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/southern-england\/?p=6363"},"modified":"2026-05-04T19:22:13","modified_gmt":"2026-05-04T19:22:13","slug":"update-to-ci-clubs-transfer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/southern-england\/2026\/05\/04\/update-to-ci-clubs-transfer\/","title":{"rendered":"Update to CI clubs transfer"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"ms-outlook-mobile-reference-message skipProofing\">During April there was some progress on the potential transfer of Channel Islands clubs, Guernsey and Jersey, to Southern England region.\u00a0 The key points are:<\/div>\n<ul data-editing-info=\"{&quot;applyListStyleFromLevel&quot;:true,&quot;unorderedStyleType&quot;:1}\">\n<li>\n<div class=\"ms-outlook-mobile-reference-message skipProofing\" role=\"presentation\">SI Guernsey and SI Jersey want to move into our region, and we are happy to have them;<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div class=\"ms-outlook-mobile-reference-message skipProofing\" role=\"presentation\">This is on track to happen from the next regional year starting in November 2026;<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div class=\"ms-outlook-mobile-reference-message skipProofing\" role=\"presentation\">We will gain about 60 members for the region, and a wealth of PAC projects;<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div class=\"ms-outlook-mobile-reference-message skipProofing\" role=\"presentation\">We will need to support them in the costs of airfares for attending regional meetings, but can take a phased approach to this, starting with \u00a34 extra on the regional levy for next regional year (so it goes from \u00a36 to \u00a310 for November 2026);<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div class=\"ms-outlook-mobile-reference-message skipProofing\" role=\"presentation\">It will take a few years to settle down but we expect to need to increase the regional levy by an extra \u00a34 each year for a few years;<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div class=\"ms-outlook-mobile-reference-message skipProofing\" role=\"presentation\">We will keep this under review, especially if we find a reasonable central venue again.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The slides that accompany this update have been saved (in pdf format) in the <a href=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/southern-england\/members-area\/\">Members&#8217; Area<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>During April there was some progress on the potential transfer of Channel Islands clubs, Guernsey&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":863,"featured_media":6367,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[115],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-6363","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-regional-news"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v25.4 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/wordpress\/plugins\/seo\/ -->\n<title>Update to CI clubs transfer | News | Blog | Events | SI Southern England<\/title>\n<meta name=\"description\" content=\"SI Southern England : Blog &amp; News : Update to CI clubs transfer : Keep up to date with the latest news, articles and events from the Soroptimists of SI Southern England .
