{"id":4761,"date":"2021-09-12T23:26:19","date_gmt":"2021-09-12T22:26:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/southport\/?p=4761"},"modified":"2022-02-12T23:44:45","modified_gmt":"2022-02-12T22:44:45","slug":"welcome-president-carol","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/southport\/2021\/09\/12\/welcome-president-carol\/","title":{"rendered":"President Carol takes up the reins!"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"kvgmc6g5 cxmmr5t8 oygrvhab hcukyx3x c1et5uql ii04i59q\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">At our September meeting, attended by members in the club room (including 2 prospective members) and on Zoom, President Rosemary Moore handed over the chain of office to President Elect Carol Cookson.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Rosemary led the club for an extended period from April 2020 when the world was overcome by Covid-19 . She nevertheless maintained a busy programme of meetings and other activities, held mainly on Zoom and we had managed to raise in the region of \u00a31000 for local, regional and international charities.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"o9v6fnle cxmmr5t8 oygrvhab hcukyx3x c1et5uql ii04i59q\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">President Carol has taken office a little earlier than expected and outlined her year to come, which looks exciting with plenty of social events.
