{"id":4927,"date":"2022-04-12T11:16:10","date_gmt":"2022-04-12T10:16:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/southport\/?p=4927"},"modified":"2022-04-12T11:16:10","modified_gmt":"2022-04-12T10:16:10","slug":"dolly-partons-imagination-library-in-southport","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/southport\/2022\/04\/12\/dolly-partons-imagination-library-in-southport\/","title":{"rendered":"Dolly Parton&#8217;s Imagination Library in Southport"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Past President Rosemary Moore introduced this project to our club members.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/imaginationlibrary.com\/uk\/\">Dolly Parton\u2019s Imagination Library<\/a> is a book gifting programme devoted to inspiring a love of reading in the hearts of children everywhere.<\/p>\n<p>The programme was launched in the UK in December 2007 \u2013 with a visit from Dolly Parton to London \u2013 and since then, the\u00a0Imagination Library\u00a0has grown and now work with over 200 affiliate partners and deliver more than 40,000 books every month to children living in communities across the UK.<\/p>\n<p>SI Southport are sponsoring this programme locally in conjunction with Marshside Road Pre-School in Southport. Each month, the currently enrolled children up to age five receive a high quality, age-appropriate book in the post. The books are carefully selected, and full of variety.
