Southport Soroptimists were flushed with success recently when they donned toilet suits in Tesco in to collect money for WaterAid and local charities. A total or \u00a3286 was collected. We were also able to raise awareness of Soroptimism and what we do.<\/p>\n

We are very grateful to the community team at Tesco for their support and hospitality.<\/p>\n

WaterAid is President Janet’s charity\u00a0 A cheque for \u00a3500 was sent to the charity from this and other fundraising activities and this will be doubled by the UK government to \u00a31000. SI Southport have already sent a further \u00a3500 to WaterAid in response to their Emergency aid appeal for\u00a0Rohingya refugees in Bangledesh.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
