We have face to face meetings in most months as well as a monthly online meeting. This provides\u00a0 opportunities for speakers and fundraising and has transformed Team and Exec meetings making them more accessible for many members. Club Members are split into three teams around the Soroptimist International Programme Objectives to provide focus for the Club’s projects which Soroptimists call “Programme Action<\/strong>“. The three teams are Peace, People and Planet. See below and also click here to find out more sigbi.org\/st-albans\/about-our-club\/project-teams<\/a><\/p>\n

As well as Programme Action Teams, the Club has a\u00a0 \u201cPlanning Team<\/strong>\u201d, which is how the Club’s Executive is now known because that is what it does in the main.\u00a0 To see who is on the Club Planning\/Exec committee<\/strong> for the coming year click here\u00a0https:\/\/sigbi.org\/st-albans\/about-our-club\/club-officers<\/a><\/strong><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>There is always so much we want to do, meeting as a Club, having some fun and working together on with projects which will benefit the charities we support in our local Community and internationally with Soroptimists worldwide.<\/p>\n

Soroptimist International, the worldwide organisation of which we are a part, was founded to make a difference to Women and Girls worldwide. Our Club has teams working on projects and activities linked to 3 of the United Nations Sustainable Development areas –<\/p>\n

People<\/strong> Team<\/strong> – projects covering learning opportunities\/education and wellbeing\/health<\/p>\n

Planet Team <\/b>\u2013 <\/strong>projects relating to sustainability and the environment<\/p>\n

Peace Team –<\/strong> projects to end violence against women and provide support.<\/p>\n

During the year Club Members across the three teams will continue to support the\u00a0St Albans and Hertsmere Women\u2019s Refuge<\/strong>, the\u00a0Steve Sinnott Foundation Period Poverty Project<\/strong> and many other charities.<\/p>\n
