Are you a woman who wants to make a difference? Soroptimists are\u2026.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Soroptimist International is a global women\u2019s organisation with Clubs all over the world. Soroptimists inspire action and create opportunities to transform the lives of women and girls. The local Soroptimist Club \u2018St Albans and District\u2019 has a lively and diverse group of more than 30 women Members from St Albans and the surrounding areas. The work of the Club is local, national and global. We apply the 3Es \u2013 E<\/strong><\/span>ducate E<\/strong><\/span>mpower E<\/span>nable which include fundraising and campaigning activities.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

What is Soroptimist International?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022A non-governmental organisation with direct access to the United Nations
\n\u2022Over 3,000 clubs in more than 120 countries working together to make a difference
\n\u2022Soroptimists are women – teachers, artists, scientists, entrepreneurs, voluntary workers, accountants\u2026. working, retired, in training or taking a career break \u2013 of all ages, cultures and ethnic groups.

Members of Soroptimist International St Albans & District are from St Albans and the surrounding areas including Harpenden, Redbourn, Hatfield, Welwyn and Watford. Charities supported by the the club include the SAHWR Refuge, Home-Start Herts, the Herts Domestic Abuse Helpline\u00a0 – for more information click on Charities Supported by St Albans Soroptimists <\/a>\u00a0Throughout the year we arrange and challenge speakers on local and national issues, and participate in activities so that we are \u201cwomen inspiring action, transforming lives\u201d<\/strong>.
