\"109-Dragons<\/a>Soroptimist Dragons Jennie Redford and Jane Slatter were delighted to attend the 2017 Dragons Apprentice<\/a> Awards Evening at the University of Hertfordshire<\/a>. Fellow Soroptimist Jean Eaton, also attended as an Ambassador for Rennie Grove Hospice<\/a>.Team Elite from\u00a0St Albans Girls\u2019 School<\/a>\u00a0(STAGS) were joined by supporting Teacher Helen Glanvill.<\/p>\n

Team Elite from Year 12 at STAGS completed their fundraising\u00a0for\u00a0Rennie <\/a>Grove Hospice\u00a0<\/a>\u00a0and raised a brilliant \u00a3848.75 in spite of loads of setbacks! To quote a TV Apprentice the team had “bouncebackability”.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Team Elite also won the award for the best poster on the evening which was very well deserved.<\/p>\n

They were certainly very busy – impressive at such a busy stage in their school lives!<\/p>\n

The awards evening was a celebration of the hard work of all the Teams involved – including the newly launched Junior Dragons’ Apprentice Challenge for Primary School Teams, and it was truly inspirational to be there! This is the first time the Club has been a “Dragon” and it was a valuable learning opportunity for Jennie and Jane Dragons as well as for the girls from STAGS. The Club is now looking forward to the 10 July when Emma Gamble from St Albans CVS<\/strong> will come along to our Club meeting to talk to us about the Dragon\u2019s Apprentice Challenge, hopefully with some of the girls from Team Elite. We will definitely be applying to be Dragons again next year!<\/p>\n
