On 22\u00a0May\u00a0Catherine Ross from\u00a0Transition St Albans www.transitionstalbans.org<\/a>\u00a0talked to the Club about the impact of their successful \"carbon-footprint\"<\/a>district-wide initiative – \u00a0“SuStAinable StAlbans Week”\u00a0\u00a0www.sustainablestalbans.org<\/a>\u00a0and highlighted their practical strategy to reduce our carbon footprint street by street.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Club had held events in Sustainable St Albans Week for the last 2 years www.sigbi.org\/st-albans\/2016\/sustainable\/\u00a0<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0www.sigbi.org\/st-albans-\/2015\/lush-2\/\u00a0<\/a>and was using the event as the beginning of the planning process for what to do next year when the event has moved to 21 \u2013 29 April 2018 and also ongoing activities to improve our environment.<\/p>\n

The Club’s Sustainable Environment and Wellbeing (SEW) Team<\/strong> are keen to encourage Members and supporters to make positive changes so do have a go at checking your Carbon Footprint to find your current level and then think about some changes you can make which will lower your rating. In the future we plan to ask Members about their Carbon Footprint level and about changes they have made or are considering making.<\/div>\n
