25 Nov to 10 Dec \u2013 Orange the World Campaign <\/strong>marks the\u00a0United Nations 16 days of activism to end gender-based violence from 25 Nov to 10 Dec.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Wed 25 Nov \u2013<\/strong> Orange the World Campaign Launch St Albans <\/strong>\u2013\u00a0St Albans Civic Centre Council Chamber 3.30-5.30pm.<\/strong> There will be time at the start for mingling over refreshments before interactive sessions with enlightening speakers. Photos will be taken in front of the Museum + Gallery at 5-30pm. Please wear orange!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Mon 7 Dec \u2013 5.30pm to 7pm Carols at St Albans City Station<\/strong> \u201cShake Rattle and Sing\u201d<\/strong> \u2013 Soroptimists and friends (2 and 4 legged!) will be singing carols and festive songs at St Albans City Station in aid of the local Women\u2019s Refuge sahwr.org.uk<\/a> marking the 16 Days of Activism to end violence against women in the run up to Human Rights Day on Dec 10. PLEASE WEAR ORANGE to continue with our campaign to Orange the World! <\/strong>Afterwards we will retire for supper and a warm up at The Six Bells.<\/p>\n

Thu 10 Dec<\/strong> \u2013 Train Journey to Charing Cross for a rally at 12pm<\/strong> led by SI SE England to promote the SIGBI Train Safety Survey as part of the Orange the World Campaign on the last of the 16 Days of Action.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Soroptimist Club of St Albans and District holds Club Meetings on the 2nd and 4th Monday evenings of most months either on Zoom, out and about or at St Albans United Reformed Church Hall Greenwood, <\/strong>Watford Road, Chiswell Green, AL2<\/strong>\u00a03HG<\/strong>.<\/a> Details are in the programme In addition there are social and fundraising events.<\/h6>\n

Our Club holds a Planning meeting at the beginning of the first week of most months. We are an open and transparent Club and Members\u2019 are encouraged to attend and participate in these meetings.<\/p>\n
