They gave a presentation about Recycling. It was heartening to discover just how much of our waste is now recyclable. Of course, this was very close to the King&#8217;s coronation and so we had some lovely coronation celebrations, complete with cake and champagne! We shared our cake with STAK St Austell.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_4871\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-4871\" style=\"width: 150px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/st-austell-and-district\/files\/2023\/06\/Mary-May-23.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-thumbnail wp-image-4871\" src=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/st-austell-and-district\/files\/2023\/06\/Mary-May-23-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-4871\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Coronation celebrations<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Soroptimist Jane gave blood for the 107th time. What an achievement!<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_4865\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-4865\" style=\"width: 150px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/st-austell-and-district\/files\/2023\/06\/sorop-at-H4C-inside.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-thumbnail wp-image-4865\" src=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/st-austell-and-district\/files\/2023\/06\/sorop-at-H4C-inside-150x150.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-4865\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Behind the scenes at H4C<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Club members had a very enjoyable morning visiting the Hall for Cornwall and experiencing a &#8216;behind the scenes&#8217; tour. Our thanks to staff at H4C for making us so welcome.<\/p>\n<p>Soroptimist Kay received a card from Soroptimist Federation President Cathy, marking 25 years membership with Soroptimist International Great Britain and Ireland. Congratulations Kay!<\/p>\n<p>Our club members were &#8216;invisible guests&#8217; at the Africa Soroptimist Federation Gala in solidarity with their cause to eliminate cervical cancer. We raised 270 pounds for this event.<\/p>\n<p>Soroptimist Diane and the Boobylicious Girls took part in the Moonwalk in London completing 26.2 miles in the dark!\u00a0 This event was to support breast cancer charities.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_4866\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-4866\" style=\"width: 150px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/st-austell-and-district\/files\/2023\/06\/moonwalk-team-at-26-miles.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-thumbnail wp-image-4866\" src=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/st-austell-and-district\/files\/2023\/06\/moonwalk-team-at-26-miles-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-4866\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Soroptimist Diane completes the London Moonwalk<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Crafty Soroptimist club members with knitting, sewing and other craft skills met together to work on three projects supporting Ukraine, our Friendship link club and our own Autumn Fayre. They aim to meet more regularly.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_4867\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-4867\" style=\"width: 150px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/st-austell-and-district\/files\/2023\/06\/SI-at-Flora-Dance-May-23-8-of-45.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-thumbnail wp-image-4867\" src=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/st-austell-and-district\/files\/2023\/06\/SI-at-Flora-Dance-May-23-8-of-45-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-4867\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Our flora dance team<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>On the 27th May a group of members joined the Flora Dance which was part of the St Austell Pride Celebrations.
