The main Charity\u00a0was the Cornwall Air Ambulance. The club also gave financial support to The SIGBI Diamond Jubilee Education Fund and the International Presidents Appeal. There was a coastal walk for WaterAid, a donation to BookAid and Plan International (Because I am a girl).\u00a0\u00a0A Barn Dance was held \u00a0to raise funds for the local Womens Refuges. Donations\u00a0were made to St Blaise PCC and the Friedrich Ataxia Society .<\/p>\n<p>Overseas,\u00a0\u00a0\u00a3400 was\u00a0sent\u00a0\u00a0to\u00a0\u00a0buy a cow for a widow in Tanzania and we have begun to support the education of Sineguyu an Aids Orphan in South Africa.<\/p>\n<p>Also in the year the club raised awareness of The Purple Teardrop Campaign and the horrors of Human Trafficking with a display in the Market House St Austell and collecting over 600 signatures on a petition \u00a0to ban Sex for Sale advertisements.
