5 Stafford Soroptimists prepare to go to Downing Street to present the petition, Violence Against Women – Stop it Now! The day will highlight United Nations International Women’s Day on 8 March.

The petition was started by Kate Brade of the Stafford Club, in partnership with Staffordshire Women’s Aid, at a vigil in Stafford Market Square on 25th November 2013 (United Nations Elimination of Violence Against Women Day). The campaign has since escalated, with all Soroptimist clubs in Great Britain (plus other women’s organisations) collecting signatures.
