Our projects need members with a wide range of skills, knowledge and interests. There will be something we are doing in SI Stafford that will appeal to you.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">To make new friends<\/span><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">SI Stafford is a very friendly Club. You&#8217;ll quickly start to get to know people and make friends. Women who are moving to the area, changing their job and\/or their home, or are just entering a new phase of their lives &#8211; perhaps &#8217;empty-nesters&#8217;, or approaching retirement \u00a0&#8211; find our Club a very warm and supportive place.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">To have fun!<\/span><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">There are many events and opportunities to meet each other socially, whether you like visiting gardens or going to musicals, or just enjoying a coffee together. You can get as involved as you wish.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif\"><strong>Frequently Asked Questions<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<h4><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif\"><strong>What does the word &#8216;Soroptimist&#8217; mean?<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">It comes from the latin &#8216;soror&#8217; (sister) and &#8216;optima&#8217; best &#8211; so, the best of sisters!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif\"><strong>How much does it cost to be a Soroptimist?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">We usually reckon our annual subscription is less than the cost of buying one coffee a week. We can be more detailed when you contact us.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif\"><strong>Do I have to attend every meeting?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">No, few members achieve that in any one year! Obviously, the more often you can come, the quicker you will get to understand what is going on, make friends, and get involved.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif\"><strong>When are the meetings and where are they held?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Twice a month: on the first and third Tuesday evenings of each month. \u00a0Please get in touch with the Membership Officer if you would like to come to anything.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Meetings start at 7.00 pm and there is often a speaker and business. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">For most of the year, these take place at Stafford Rangers Football Club.
