In April 2025 Sue Zurawiel was welcomed as the Club President for the second year.<\/p>\n

President Sue\u2019s message is:<\/p>\n

I am very proud and honoured to serve as President for a second year\u00a0 My message for this year is \u2018Looking Back \u2013 Moving Forward\u2019 and \u2018Cherish Every Moment\u2019.<\/p>\n

Our club is very special to me and having had a very difficult year last year the friendship and support from my Soroptimist sisters was unbelievable.<\/p>\n

This year we forge ahead with our two meetings a month.\u00a0 We have a full programme with a variety of Speakers, Events, Social Evenings and of course Programme Action.<\/p>\n

Last year my message was the powerful words \u2018Believe in Yourself\u2019.\u00a0 In our club opportunities present themselves but sometimes members are hesitant to put themselves forward.\u00a0 This year I am asking you to take a chance, step forward, believe in yourself and gain that confidence.\u00a0 Believing in yourself is not just a motivational slogan it\u2019s a powerful catalyst for success.\u00a0 It\u2019s the driving force that allows you to overcome obstacles, take risks and turn dreams into reality.\u00a0 As a Soroptimist if we increase our own belief and take a chance we can more readily support other members and other people.<\/p>\n

President Sue then read her latest poem:<\/p>\n

I am feeling very honoured to be standing here<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

And looking forward to my second presidential year<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

I know I will get a lot of support from you<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

And will put every effort into everything I do<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The two meetings a month will be better than one<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

No meal but there will be food and lots of fun <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The teams will bring forward some exciting news,<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

And hopefully stop us all from getting the blues<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

So it\u2019s going to be a special year with lots to behold<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

And I promise that in everything I do I will be extra bold<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n
