Since it opened in 1971 Soroptimists in Stockport been supporting St Ann’s Hospice in a variety of ways.\u00a0 The Hospice has provided much appreciated end of life and palliative care for a number of our members.\u00a0 We were keen to find ways to support them in their move to a new build in Spring 2026.<\/p>\n

As part of their ‘Brick in the Wall’ campaign we have donated \u00a31000 to cover the cost of a pallet of bricks. The Club’s name will appear on their new wall ensuring our links with the Hospice carry on in to the future.<\/p>\n

Later this year the Hospice will become the Moya Cole Hospice to celebrate their inspirational founder, Dr Moya Cole.\u00a0 Our plan is to hold a fundraising event in the Hospice building in Spring of 2026 – do join us and keep an eye on this website for details.<\/p>\n

Note the 4-lgged Soroptimist associate in the picture.\u00a0 This is Fergus and he is currently being assessed as a therapy dog, so may well play a part in helping future Hospice users.<\/p>\n
