On Saturday 4th June we enjoyed an African Theme Day at Connie Clarke’s house. With her ‘Open House ‘ policy, Connie was on top form-telling and re-telling the anecdotes and legends behind the artefacts.In addition she provided lunch for a dozen of us1 She was rushing to and fro meeting people,s needs. At the end we collected a spontaneous donation(filling in the tin) Connie, typically , gave it to us as a down payment towards funding a student throughout secondary education. The Cheque for £100 has been sent to Peter Swan. MANY, MANY, MANY THANKS TO CONNIE AND IAN (A true soroptimister) A wonderful day in my year! Truly memorable.
