Originally this involved two eminent Professors, one from King’s College, London, the other from North Tyneside Hospital.
The venue was Queen’s Campus, Stockton, of Durham University. Through the goodwill of the Dean of Medicine, Pali Hungin.
Due to circumstances beyond our control, Peter Jenner from KCL, was unable to attend.
The good news was that Dr Deepta Churm from North Tyneside, a colleague of Professor Richard Walker, was able to come and update us on Advance Care Planning. Something we all have to consider eventually.
Jackie Burke from Parkinson’s UK demonstrated how all the ideas suggested by Richard Walker and Deepta, could be put into practice by PWP’S, with support.
Although only 46 people attended, we raised £276 for research.
