Meetings, meals and events will be organised and led by each of the Programme Action groups for the allocated months of the year. (Education, health and environment)<\/b><\/p>\n

1st Thursday of the months – 7.30 pm<\/strong><\/p>\n

3rd Thursday of the month – 7.15 pm<\/strong><\/p>\n

Zoom Book Club meetings – Last Wednesday Monthly 7.30pm<\/strong><\/p>\n

Zoom Management Group Meetings – Last Wednesday Monthly 6.30pm<\/strong><\/p>\n

The 1st Wednesday is a Business Meeting where Club, Regional and International matters are discussed.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

The 3rd Wednesday is a Dinner Meeting where we usually\u00a0have a Speaker.<\/strong><\/p>\n

  • Farmers Overseas Action Group \u00a0(FOAG) \u00a0<\/strong>More than 1 in 5 rural Ugandans are living below the poverty line today. It is estimated that growth in agriculture is at least twice as effective in reducing poverty as growth in other sectors. Figures also show that 30 per cent of all food produced in Uganda is lost due to poor post-harvest handing and inadequate storage. Their mission is to help farmers to grow more and waste less food. We are also delighted to support a partially sighted young woman Esther through her teacher training education<\/li>\n
  • Kerala Partnership: <\/strong>Kerala Partnership is a direct action charity which forges links & partnerships with groups & individuals, in the state of Kerala, South India. Through those partnerships it seeks to lend a helping hand to people who are striving to make positive change for individuals, families & village communities. One of our\u00a0one Soroptimist Jane Clarke MBE was instrumental in founding the charity<\/li>\n
  • Local Women\u2019s Refuge:\u00a0<\/strong>We support our local women refuge on a regular basis with toiletries, toys for their children and clothes as needed by the residents.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
