Rosemary worked as a nurse with people with learning difficulties for 30 years and in 1991 won a Nurse of the Year Award. Since retiring from nursing she now volunteers as a Health and Access Advisor for a charity that supports vulnerable adults who are deaf, deaf-blind, or hard of hearing.<\/p>\n

Being a Soroptimist enables Rosemary to meet like-minded women who are interested in women’s issues with the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of others. Rosemary has been involved in several international projects. In India, she taught first aid to village women. She designed an accessible training pack for women with no literacy skills to cascade the training to other members of their community. Rosemary was also the Northern Regional Ambassador for the Meru Women Garden Project.<\/p>\n

Looking forward to her year in office Rosemary faces unprecedented challenges in the current Covid 19 Pandemic.<\/p>\n
