Press release below. Helen Sharman, the first British person in space was one of the speakers at the conference. We were pleased to see our Club Member Rhian Williams on stage. She will be part of the team organising next year’s conference in Cardiff. The September Beach clean was another successful sunny day for the Swansea Soroptimists who each year clean near the children’s area at Blackpill. Sandra Pengelly encouraged President Anne to lead a stalwart group before coffee and a well earned rest at a nearby cafe. Thanks to SI Cwmbran for providing two huge bags full of tops and hats for the Fish and Chip babies in Africa. SI Swansea has added babygrows to the collection. Angela Gorman will be delighted at “Life for African Mothers” and we hope that SI Cwmbran and SI Swansea can continue to work together.
