What are we doing locally during the Covid-19 outbreak?
It is difficult to raise funds at the moment for the charities and good causes we support. We were fortunate to raise over £1300 for Cruse Morgannwg at our lunch in March just before lockdown.
We rose to the challenge from Swansea Bay Health board through the Facebook page of Swansea and NPT Communities Group
We have made over 450 items of the 7000 already made by volunteer sewers which includes red hearts knitted for our nurses, doctors and other support staff and care workers. We will continue with this and also ask for donations of £5 for masks available (including P&P) by contacting us through our Contact Us page. The money will help us fund our other causes as coffee morning s and events cannot yet take place.
We look forward to helping at St Helen’s School once the schools return
We hope that we can support the City Trussell Trust Foodbank at City Church Dyfatty Street Swansea SA1 1QQ in some way
We are continuing to fund our girl’s education and school uniform for 3 years in Cape Verde. We will be sending £140 for her in September 2020.
We will continue to support the Swansea ABRSM High Scorers Concert when it returns to Mumbles.
We will add to the list as we do more.
