Amanda Rees from SI Swansea was installed as the new Wales South Regional President at the Soroptimist International Conference of Great Britain and Ireland in October in Cardiff. On Saturday, 11th November, the Regional Change of Insignia took place at the Village Hotel, Swansea in the presence of the Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress of Swansea. Bobbie Sheldrake (outgoing president) presented Amanda with her chain of office and Rhian Williams (President of Swansea club) was Master of Ceremonies for the event. The afternoon tea was enjoyed by all and the toast was made by the Lord Mayor, Councillor Philip Downing.
