On the submenu you will find information on some of the major projects and activities carried out by Clubs in the Region. The project work that Clubs do is known collectively as Programme Action.
The United Kingdom Programme Action Committee (UKPAC) provides help and guidance to Soroptimist clubs in the UK in devising, planning and carrying out their Programme Action. Representatives from all 17 Regions, as far apart as Scotland North Region and South West and Channel Islands Region, serve on the Committee. Although called the UKPAC, in addition to working with clubs in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, we also work with clubs in the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands. And since its inception in 1993 the Committee has established a reputation for taking action on a broad range of topics and successfully lobbying the British government in the pursuit of those objectives. Speedy and efficient communications are crucial to the furtherance of successful Programme Action work. It is always a two-way process and the UKPAC forms an important link between Soroptimist International, the Federation of Great Britain and Ireland and the membership of the British Isles. Our work at national level can be seen at SIGBI UKPAC Site
