Baby Vests for Babies in Uganda – call for Help from SI Tiverton
SI Tiverton have been busy knitting vests for new born babies in Uganda. The days may be hot but the nights are cold and babies lose heat rapidly. Other clubs in the region have contributed and we ask for your help once again.
We have heard how much they mean to the mothers. The lady who runs the charity in Uganda delivered some vests to the hospital and found a lady sitting outside who had just given birth. She reports, ‘she squealed with delight as I handed her a vest.’
But as you can imagine, those same babies quickly grow so we are now looking to provide some larger sized tops for older babies and young children.
Here is a link to another simple pattern for Baby Vests, should you be able to help with this.
