Following previous requests from Centre staff, the Soroptimists also donated underwear, leggings and gloves to help the Sex workers the staff support.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt;font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'\">The Club are now known for the Christmas bags and once again had had great support from friends and also local Ladies Who Latte, Nordic Walking and WI Book Clubs in buying, sorting and collecting items that can be included.<\/span><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_5145\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-5145\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/swindon-and-district\/files\/2023\/03\/Swindon-Soroptimists-25-Xmas-bags-contents.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-5145 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/swindon-and-district\/files\/2023\/03\/Swindon-Soroptimists-25-Xmas-bags-contents-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/swindon-and-district\/files\/2023\/03\/Swindon-Soroptimists-25-Xmas-bags-contents-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/sigbi.org\/swindon-and-district\/files\/2023\/03\/Swindon-Soroptimists-25-Xmas-bags-contents.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-5145\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Some of the items waiting to be packed into gift bags<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt;font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'\">Members Gillian, Valerie and Jackie got together to sort and pack the 800 plus items received, so each box had an amazing 31 different items.\u00a0 The items ranged from useful things like gloves, scarves and hats, pads and pens to treats such as pampering mini toiletries and costume jewellery, plus chocolate and Christmas crackers!<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"ydp37a60e02msonormal\"><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt;font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'\">So, once again 25 bags were delivered to the Swindon Nelson Trust Women\u2019s Centre, in time for handing out at their Christmas lunch, and safely stowed in Santa\u2019s Grotto!<\/span><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_5160\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-5160\" style=\"width: 225px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/swindon-and-district\/files\/2023\/03\/Swindon-Soroptimists-Lydia-Valerie-Jackie-presenting-25-Xmas-bags-to-the-Nelson-Trust-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-5160 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/swindon-and-district\/files\/2023\/03\/Swindon-Soroptimists-Lydia-Valerie-Jackie-presenting-25-Xmas-bags-to-the-Nelson-Trust-1-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/swindon-and-district\/files\/2023\/03\/Swindon-Soroptimists-Lydia-Valerie-Jackie-presenting-25-Xmas-bags-to-the-Nelson-Trust-1-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/sigbi.org\/swindon-and-district\/files\/2023\/03\/Swindon-Soroptimists-Lydia-Valerie-Jackie-presenting-25-Xmas-bags-to-the-Nelson-Trust-1-768x1024.jpg 768w, https:\/\/sigbi.org\/swindon-and-district\/files\/2023\/03\/Swindon-Soroptimists-Lydia-Valerie-Jackie-presenting-25-Xmas-bags-to-the-Nelson-Trust-1.jpg 810w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-5160\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Nelson Trust Team lead Raenia (front) and Carrie, deputy centre manager (rear)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p class=\"ydp37a60e02msonormal\"><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt;font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'\">Members Jackie Webb, Lydia Cardew and Regional President Valerie Nuttall delivered the bags and staff at the Nelson Trust were very grateful.
