July 2018 – Visit to Swan Lifeline

A very intersting and informative visit to this locally-based charity, which provides shelter and treatment for sick and injured swans, with the aim of returning them to the wild as soon as posible.

Anne Arton, who arranged our visit, showed our club regalia to Kay Webb of Swan Lifeline.   The central jewel features a swan.

Last year’s cygnets (below left) now growing their adult plumage, and they wiuoll be released later this year.   Adult swans (below right).   All the swans are housed in caged pens to protecdt them from attack from foxes and mink.

We rounded off the evening with supper at The Pineapple in Dorny.
