Welcome to the website of Soroptimist International of Tunbridge Wells & District (SITWD), a vibrant, friendly group of women united by a shared commitment to improving the lives of women and girls.<\/span><\/p>\n

Our club is part of Soroptimist International, a worldwide volunteer movement that advocates for human rights and gender equality. With over 60,000 members across more than 100 countries, Soroptimist International is one of only 12 women\u2019s organisations globally who have consultative status at the UN.\u00a0 It works through advocacy, awareness, and action to help women and girls achieve their potential, realise aspirations, and have an equal voice in creating strong, peaceful communities.<\/span><\/p>\n

At SITWD, we translate this global mission into meaningful local impact. Our members come from a wide range of backgrounds but share a common purpose: to make a difference through practical projects, partnerships, and friendship. We support local charities, raise awareness of issues affecting women and girls, and engage with the wider community through events, fundraising, and campaigns.<\/span><\/p>\n

Membership of SI offers friendship, fun, and the opportunity to be part of a global network of women who take real action to create lasting change. Whether you\u2019re interested in volunteering, advocacy, or simply meeting like-minded women, we\u2019d love to welcome you to one of our meetings or events.\u00a0 We meet on the third Monday evening of each month in central Tunbridge Wells.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Soroptimist mission is transform the lives and status of women and girls through advocacy, awareness raising and action.\u00a0 Read on to learn how we in SITWD set about doing this and how you can help.<\/span><\/p>\n

Meetings take place at Chamberlain Court, 77 Mount Ephraim, Tunbridge Wells, TN4 8BS. All are welcome to attend. \u00a0<\/strong><\/span>All meetings are from 7.30pm to 9.00pm.<\/span><\/p>\n
