The high profile murders which occurred last year prompted the PCC to survey 8,263 people across Kent to ask about women\u2019s safety\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent-pcc.gov.uk\/SysSiteAssets\/media\/downloads\/vawg\/results-of-the-pcc-violence-against-women-and-girls-survey.pdf\">https:\/\/www.kent-pcc.gov.uk\/SysSiteAssets\/media\/downloads\/vawg\/results-of-the-pcc-violence-against-women-and-girls-survey.pdf<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p>This survey aims to build on this work and looks at the safety of women and girls in the Borough of Tunbridge Wells. SI Tunbridge Wells\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>She was only walking home.<br \/>\nShe wasn\u2019t breaking the law.<br \/>\nIt should have been safe<br \/>\nfor her to reach her front door.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Instead she was killed<br \/>\nby someone we paid<br \/>\nto keep us all safe<br \/>\nbut by him she was betrayed.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Why does the world ask<br \/>\nwomen to change what they do<br \/>\ninstead of insisting<br \/>\nthat men think in ways that are new?<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">The roll call of names<br \/>\nof women killed by a man<br \/>\ncontinues to grow<br \/>\nbut to stop it there\u2019s no plan.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Measures recently passed<br \/>\nmean laws now demand<br \/>\nwe respect race, creed and class<br \/>\nbut misogyny gets no reprimand.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">How many more women must die<br \/>\nin this unending pandemic<br \/>\nof which the causes, alas,<br \/>\nare entrenched and systemic?<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text] &nbsp;
