In July the UKPAC wrote to the Ministry of Justice about the recently published Female Offender Strategy. Concern was expressed about the level of investment which was felt to be insufficient to ensure successful implementation.
The response fro the MoJ was received in late August, and observed that the strategy marks the start of a new programme of work to deliver the best possible outcomes for female offenders and their families, victims and wider society. They state that they will keep funding for the broader strategy under review.
