From Local Impact to Global Influence<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Between January 2024 and March 2025, Soroptimist clubs across the SI Wales South region showed strong commitment to transforming lives and advocating for women and girls through impactful project work. A total of 80 programme reports<\/strong> were submitted to SIGBI, reflecting a wide range of initiatives focused on health awareness<\/strong>, environmental protection<\/strong>, education<\/strong>, and the fight against gender-based violence<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

From local initiatives like beach cleans<\/strong> and comfort teddies for children in need<\/strong>, to global campaigns such as Toilet Twinning<\/strong> and Lend with Care<\/strong>, clubs across the region worked tirelessly to make a meaningful difference. Highlights included continued support for the 16 Days of Activism<\/strong>, educational outreach through book donations<\/strong>, and practical assistance to organisations such as Cyfannol Women\u2019s Aid<\/strong>, Dewis<\/strong>, and Thrive Women\u2019s Aid<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Our Club Projects Support the UN\u2019s Global Goals for Women and Girls<\/h4>\n

These projects do more than create local impact \u2014 they also feed into the bigger picture. The work carried out by our clubs contributes directly to the United Nations\u2019 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)<\/strong>, particularly those focused on gender equality, quality education, good health and well-being, clean water and sanitation, and reducing inequalities. Programme reports are submitted to SIGBI<\/strong>, which uses them to inform the UN Commission on the Status of Women (CSW)<\/strong> about the grassroots actions making a difference for women and girls around the world.<\/p>\n

This vibrant and varied activity reflects the heart of Soroptimist values \u2014 advocacy, action, and awareness<\/strong> \u2014 delivered with compassion, collaboration, and purpose.<\/p>\n
