Celebrating Cultural Uniqueness<\/h3>\n

Helen is forging powerful partnerships and has applied for grant funding from Great Western Railways to host an empowering event for women and girls from ethnic communities. This celebration of cultural uniqueness will be infused with training and skills development, supported by key partners like Swansea University, Race Council Cymru, and Volcano Theatre Swansea.<\/p>\n

Considering Undertaking an Exciting Project<\/h3>\n

We’re considering undertaking an exciting regional project: developing a booklet to support women who are survivors of domestic abuse, inspired by SI Poole, Purbeck, and District’s Fresh Thoughts. With strong support and engagement from relevant organizations, we’re ready to bring this vision to life.<\/p>\n

REGIONAL PROJECTS 2024 – 2026<\/h3>\n

Launch of Domestic Abuse Support Booklets for Women Across South Wales.\"\"<\/a><\/strong><\/h4>\n

Launched on International Women\u2019s Day<\/strong>, these Domestic Abuse Information Booklets provide clear information, practical advice and sources of support for women experiencing abuse across South Wales.\u00a0Available in Welsh and English<\/strong>, the two booklets include general information about domestic abuse and guidance for women who may be planning to leave or fleeing abuse.\u00a0Free to access and share<\/a><\/p>\n

November 2024 We completed Our Special Domestic Abuse Courts Project:<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Members conducted an observational study of four Special Domestic Abuse Courts<\/strong> in South Wales<\/strong> (Cardiff, Llanelli, Newport, and Swansea). Our report, Room for Improvement: <\/em>\u00a0Room for Improvement A review of SDACs in South Wales Nov2024<\/a> \u00a0has been shared with key stakeholders. We are now actively engaging with them to discuss our findings and recommendations<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
