70th year celebration

October 15th 2016

Members celebrated 70 years since the Club was charted in 1946 with a dinner at the Hollins Hey Hotel. Honoured guests included the Mayor & Mayoress of Wirral, Councillor Pat Hackett & Mrs Elaine Hackett; Federation President Margaret Emsley, & Region President Jean Pentecost & President Elect Denny Owen. Soroptimist guests included 11 Club Presidents, representatives from 11 Soroptimist clubs in our Region & representatives from 6 clubs outside our Region: Ashton-under-Lyne, Bolton, Liverpool (our Mother Club), Solihull (our Friendship Link), Warrington and Widnes plus a Soroptimist Associate Member. We were also delighted to welcome the lady president of the Wallasey Lions Club, and 7 previous Club members: 4 of whom are past Club presidents.
