Three members of Soroptimist international of Weston-super-Mare had a meeting with Det Supt Marie Wright, Avon and Somerset Police Officer with responsibility for investigating Domestic Violence cases. DS Wright was able to reassure the Soroptimists that, despite cuts in funding and manpower,\u00a0 domestic abuse cases were treated as high priority and she was setting up new initiatives such as a programme for perpetrators of violence.\u00a0 She was delighted to receive some \u201cLoves me, loves me not\u201d bookmarks for Police officers to hand out where appropriate.<\/p>\n
