SI Weybridge & District (SIW&D) – 2025 Meeting/Events Calendar

Club Meetings are held 10 months of the year at 7pm at The Fairmile Hotel in Esher. We also arrange social meetings with guests in August and December alongside visits and trips out. Members can live anywhere in the federation, we have members who live remote for part of the year, some who only attend suppers and others who are very much engaged in projects and the social side of the club. We all continue our involvement as we meet new friends, each others company, enjoy the teamwork and learning and love being able to see results beyond our day to day jobs and responsibilities. Monthly meetings often feature an external speaker from a charity relating to our causes; occasionally speakers are welcomed on ZOOM online.  Once a month the Program Action Working Party consisting members involved with leading projects meet socially of an evening to make plans to debate and progress delivery of projects. Periodically the Membership Officers host a drinks evening from new members and those interested in learning about the club. Women interested in volunteering and becoming an Associate (or Full member in due course) are most welcome to meet a local soroptimist in person for information, to join a social session or meeting just email admin@siweybridge.com or fill in the contact form.

Monthly Supper Meetings take place on the 3rd Thursday of each month. The Club AGM is held in April.

Annual membership subscription is currently £120 p.a.

There are 3 other federations covering rest of world. All clubs work at a local, national and international level to educate, empower and enable opportunities for women and girls. New clubs are being chartered each year. SI has representatives from each federation who report to the UN Commission on the Safety of Women (CSW) annually, project data are complied relating to impact and outcomes from all global projects for submission to the UN CSW evidence database.

We welcome registered charities and organisations enabling women and girls through education, poverty alleviation, training and refuge to get in touch about speaking at our meetings.
