We currently have bra banks in the following places:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Widnes Library<\/li>\n<li>Widnes Masonic Hall<\/li>\n<li>Upton Community Centre<\/li>\n<li>Framk Myler&#8217;s Leisure Centre<\/li>\n<li>Tesco Staff Room<\/li>\n<li>Halton Haven Hospice<\/li>\n<li>Cronton Community Centre<\/li>\n<li>Allied Pharmacy (Upton Rocks)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/widnes\/files\/2024\/05\/2nd-delivery-of-bras.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-4964\" src=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/widnes\/files\/2024\/05\/2nd-delivery-of-bras-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/widnes\/files\/2024\/05\/2nd-delivery-of-bras-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/sigbi.org\/widnes\/files\/2024\/05\/2nd-delivery-of-bras.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><\/a><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/widnes\/files\/2024\/05\/2nd-delivery-of-bras-2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-4965 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/widnes\/files\/2024\/05\/2nd-delivery-of-bras-2-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/widnes\/files\/2024\/05\/2nd-delivery-of-bras-2-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/sigbi.org\/widnes\/files\/2024\/05\/2nd-delivery-of-bras-2.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h1>2025<\/h1>\n<p>We started collecting <strong>used, new or unwanted bras<\/strong> in 2023 for the charity \u2018AGAINST breast cancer\u2019 at various venues across Widnes.<\/p>\n<p>For every tonne of bras collected, the charity, \u2018AGAINST Breast Cancer\u2019, receives \u00a3700 enabling the funding of lifesaving research projects at some of the UK\u2019s most respected acade<a href=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/widnes\/files\/2023\/06\/AGAINST-breast-cancer.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-4931\" src=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/widnes\/files\/2023\/06\/AGAINST-breast-cancer-141x300.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"239\" height=\"508\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/widnes\/files\/2023\/06\/AGAINST-breast-cancer-141x300.png 141w, https:\/\/sigbi.org\/widnes\/files\/2023\/06\/AGAINST-breast-cancer.png 481w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 239px) 100vw, 239px\" \/><\/a>mic establishments leading to improved outcomes for women throughout the world.<\/p>\n<p>The bras are prevented from going to landfill and are sent to small businesses in developing countries in Africa and around the world. The bras are given a new lease of life in countries such as Ghana and Kenya where bras are expensive to produce locally, and this provides an income for struggling families.<\/p>\n<p>Being able to access reasonably priced bras, boosts the self-esteem of women and girls in developing countries but more importantly, it can give status to women and girls; and a girl who is wearing a bra is less likely to be raped or sexually assaulted.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Look out for the <span style=\"color: #ff00ff\">pink Bra Banks<\/span> in a venue near you and please donate your
