On March 8th 2016 International Women’s Day various events were held at Wigan Town Hall. In the morning SI Wigan and SI Leigh members were invited to attend a celebration of women’s achievements. A plaque was unveiled to Martha Hogg, in 1920 she was the first woman Councillor of Wigan.<\/p>\n
