Sunshine at our Annual Picnic for Refuge Residents

We had the most glorious weather for our annual picnic at St Swithun’s Girls school in July. It was very aptly described by one young guest (aged 2)  as ‘hot, hot, hot!’  However that didn’t stop him thoroughly enjoying himself with the toys provided and on the climbing area and slide as well as tucking into the delicious picnic food.

Each year we work with the students at St Swithun’s Girls school on this joint project in the grounds of their lovely boarding school. They help us host the picnic, to which we invite residents and their children from the Winchester Women’s Refuge. Food is provided by club members and this year we held a coffee morning to raise funds to pay for the food and to buy small gifts for the ladies and their youngsters.
